Grey Rock Power Centre

Gateway to Atlantic Canada

Edmundston truck Stop is located in the Grey Rock Power Centre, Madawaska Maliseet First Nation, which is ideally located on Trans-Canada Highway No. 2 adjacent to the city of Edmundston, one of the 6 major cities in New Brunswick. Directly linked to central and western Canada through the province of Quebec and to the United States through the state of Maine, Edmundston is also known as the gateway to the Atlantic provinces, which are comprised of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador.

This 70 acre commercial center is expected to welcome dozens of retail and hospitality businesses ranging from big box retail stores to hotel, attraction center to ultimately becoming the first off highway destination shopping site entering into New Brunswick.

Ultimately, this development will increase employment opportunities for First Nation members as well as citizens from the neighboring communities. The project will also be a useful tool with which to promote the MMFN’s unique culture and to educate the neighboring communities and tourists about their history.
